COLOGNE WORKSHOP | YOGA OF SOUND
The Bhramari Series: Unlocking Energy Through Vibrations
11 January 2025| 13:00-15:30 | Neptunbad, Cologne
Join us for an afternoon of self-discovery, blending traditional ancient yogic practices with contemporary insights from modern sciences.
what is bhramari, the yoga of sound?
The Bhramari Series is an element of Antastha Yoga, Sanjeev Bhanot’s signature style of yoga,
Antastha yoga is the yoga of inner depth, helping you to connect to parts of your being that have been silent, unseen, or forgotten - awakening awareness where stillness and truth reside.
Om is the primordial sound of creation, the subtle vibration from which all forms arise. Everything around and within us is an expression of vibration, moving at different speeds and densities. When particles vibrate slowly and stay tightly packed, matter appears solid and stable, like a rock. As they receive more energy and begin to move more freely, the same matter becomes more fluid, like water flowing and reshaping itself.
Bhramari, often referred to as the "humming bee breath," is a kriya that incorporates vibrations to harmonize the body and mind. When practiced alongside a series of yoga asanas, the vibrations from humming facilitate the flow of energy within the body. This process helps release blockages, particularly in areas that feel stiff or stagnant, promoting a smoother energy movement. The gentle vibrations dissolve these energetic and physical obstructions, leaving us with a profound sense of well-being and ease.
