Bali Retreats 2026
Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in retreats organized by Yogalife UG, a company registered in Germany (“the Organizer”). By registering, you (“the Participant”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Registration & Booking
All registrations are subject to written confirmation by the Organizer.
To secure participation, payment of at least the non-refundable deposit (as specified in the booking confirmation) is required. The total retreat fee must be settled in full before the Participant’s departure.
Participation is conditional upon timely completion of all required forms and full payment prior to retreat start.
2. Payment & Fees
Fees are based on the price at the time of booking.
All bank charges, transfer fees, and taxes (including reverse-charge VAT, if applicable) are the responsibility of the Participant.
If installment payments are offered, an administration fee applies. Late payments may result in cancellation of the booking, interest charges (e.g., 1% per month), and/or legal enforcement.
3. Cancellation by Participants
Cancellations must be made in writing (email is sufficient).
The following fees apply:
Up to 8 weeks before retreat start: refund of 100% minus deposit and administration fee.
Up to 4 weeks before retreat start: refund of 50% minus deposit and administration fee.
Within 4 weeks: no refund.
No refunds are given once the retreat has begun or for early departure.
Participants may transfer their booking to another person before the retreat start date. The new participant must agree to these Terms & Conditions and complete any required registration details. Administrative costs related to the transfer are borne by the original Participant.
4. Cancellation or Changes by the Organizer
The Organizer may cancel, modify, or reschedule the retreat due to circumstances beyond reasonable control (“Force Majeure”), including but not limited to natural disasters, volcanic eruptions, storms, pandemics, government restrictions, teacher illness, or political unrest in Indonesia.
Where possible, the Organizer will offer either:
a rescheduled retreat, or
a credit towards a future retreat.
Refunds will not be provided directly; Participants must rely on their travel or retreat insurance.
If the Head Teacher is unable to attend, the Organizer may appoint a suitably qualified substitute. This does not constitute a material alteration entitling cancellation or refund.
If the retreat must be cancelled without replacement, Participants will receive a refund of fees paid directly to the Organizer, but no compensation for external costs (e.g., flights, accommodation, insurance, income loss)
5. Insurance (Recommended)
All Participants are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel and health insurance valid in Indonesia.
Such insurance should ideally cover:
personal cancellation (illness, accident, emergencies),
retreat cancellation by the Organizer,
medical expenses, hospitalization, and emergency evacuation,
natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, or other force majeure events,
travel disruptions such as flight cancellations, delays, or lost luggage.
Failure to obtain adequate insurance is entirely at the Participant’s own risk. The Organizer will not be responsible for any costs, losses, damages, or claims arising from the Participant’s decision not to secure such coverage.
6. Travel & Accommodation Disclaimer
Participants are solely responsible for arranging and paying for their travel, visas, transfers, and accommodation unless expressly included in the package.
The Organizer accepts no liability for travel-related issues (cancellations, delays, lost luggage, missed connections).
Food & Accommodation Disclaimer
The retreat venue is operated by an independent third party. While the Organizer carefully selects and collaborates with trusted partners, it does not own, manage, or control the venue, kitchen, or catering services. Accordingly, the Organizer cannot be held responsible for any dissatisfaction, inconvenience, or issues related to accommodation, meals, hygiene, allergens, or food preparation, unless arising from gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the Organizer.
Participants with specific dietary needs, intolerances, or allergies are required to inform both the Organizer and the venue in advance and to take personal responsibility for verifying meal ingredients and suitability.
7. Health, Safety & Participant Responsibility
Participants must disclose any relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies, medications, or psychological conditions at the time of booking.
Participation is voluntary and at the Participant’s own risk. This retreat is not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment.
Participants are responsible for their behavior, safety, and personal belongings.
The Organizer is not liable for injury, illness, or property loss, except in cases of gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit) or intentional misconduct (Vorsatz) as defined under German law.
8. Nature & Wildlife Disclaimer
The retreat takes place in a natural, tropical environment. While every reasonable effort is made to ensure comfort and safety, Participants acknowledge that encounters with insects, geckos, monkeys, dogs, or other local wildlife may occur.
By joining the retreat, Participants accept that such experiences are part of the natural setting and agree that the Organizer cannot be held responsible for any discomfort, bites, stings, allergic reactions, or injuries caused by animals, insects, or environmental conditions, unless resulting from gross negligence or willful misconduct by the Organizer.
Participants are advised to take reasonable precautions (e.g., use insect repellent, wear appropriate clothing, keep food sealed).
9. Code of Conduct
Respect for teachers, staff, participants, local communities, property, and the environment is mandatory.
The use of illegal substances, disruptive behavior, or failure to follow safety guidelines may result in removal from the retreat without refund.
10. Release & Waiver of Liability
By registering, the Participant acknowledges and agrees that:
Participation involves physical and mental activity and carries inherent risks.
They are fit and healthy to partake in the program.
They release and hold harmless the Organizer, staff, and affiliates from any liability for injury, illness, death, loss, or damage incurred during the retreat, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
This waiver extends to heirs, legal representatives, and assigns.
11. Intellectual Property & Media
All retreat materials (manuals, schedules, practices) remain the property of the Organizer and may not be reproduced or distributed commercially.
By attending, Participants grant permission for the Organizer to use photos, audio, or video recordings taken during the retreat for promotional purposes (unless explicit written objection is received in advance).
Participant-created content may not be published externally without Organizer consent.
12. Privacy & Data Protection
The Organizer processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
Personal data is used solely for retreat administration and related communication.
The full details of how Yogalife UG collects, processes, and protects personal data are described in our Privacy Policy, available at www.yogalife.org/privacy.
By registering, Participants acknowledge that they have read and accepted the Privacy Policy as part of these Terms & Conditions.
The Organizer reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated Terms apply to all future bookings from the date of publication. For existing bookings, the version valid at the time of booking remains binding unless both parties agree in writing to adopt the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bundesrepublik Deutschland).
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Germany, with venue at the Organizer’s registered seat.
For avoidance of doubt: even though the retreat takes place in Indonesia, all contractual relations are with the German Organizer.
