Sadhana - Mastering your Way to Bliss

Our students & teachers at the Sadhana advanced teacher training in Ibiza

How well do you know yourself?

Despite all our efforts, our body moves without our consent. When it comes to our mind or thoughts, its behavior becomes even wilder.

There is a lot we can learn about it from psychology, and it can definitely help us discover our hidden Self. A glimpse into the techniques and observations of others can be very helpful at times, but it is only a glimpse.

Self-awareness to realize who I am

No technology or expert has ever been able to tell us how it is to be "me".

The "I" can be known in many ways, but when it comes to knowing ourselves and what it is like to be in this body, in this mind, there is one entity that has full access, which is our Self-awareness.

The same way our Self-awareness has been trained to be out there at all times, our ability to see and hear has been trained to be outward day in and day out. When a yogi or monk asks us to look inside, it isn't always clear what he or she is talking about.

Our inner Self gives us a Glimpse of the Joy we have been seeking

At first, it takes a little learning before we get the hang of it.
Gurus and Masters like Shankara and Patanjali shared this process of learning and knowing. Through 5.000 years of precision, we have been given the most direct way to know one's inner Self. Our inner Self gives us a glimpse of the joy we have always been seeking.

Patanjali describes yoga as a very scientific process. It is always important to start with your body, to know your body, to move your body, and to feel your body. Only after we know our bodies we can know our breaths and our pranas. Through the body and prana, we get to know the thoughts and the different layers of that aspect we call 'mind'.

A Sadhana is the process by which one discovers one's true Self through yoga.
