Sadhana - Creating space for your inner potential

200h Yoga Teacher Training - students exploring their potential

A series of habits govern our lives, some of which are helpful and some of which are not.

Yoga may be the oldest science to address this aspect in profound and minute detail. Over time, these habits become part of our subconscious mind and reflexes, which is often not helpful in our daily lives.

Reflexes - ingrained in various layers of our being

In yoga, we learn that these reflexes are also ingrained in various layers of our being, not only in our brains. Yogis and Rishis believe we have eight different memories that influence our behaviours, preferences and choices.

Yogic ways to overcoming these reflexes

Yoga is known as discipline. The word discipline comes from the same root as the word disciple. A disciple is a person who develops the capacity to learn and grow. Discipline is the process which creates the capacity to grow and yoga deals with this in two ways:

The first way is practicing conscious action rather than reflexes. The second one is Sadhana, which means transforming this capacity and emptying yourself to create space for your inner potential.

Sadhana is not only practice, but understanding and experiencing the 8 different kinds of memories to ultimately mastering our way to bliss.
